April 14th, the big day

I'd love to say that my B-day was perfect but it had a few speed bumps. I had too much fun Tuesday night and I was a little fuzzy for my flight out of COS Wednesday morning.

I landed at MSP and drove straight to Hemostasis. I have been an RA consultant for them for over a year. They make patches and powders that stop bleeding. It is a small company so I do a lot of different things for them.
For my birthday dinner Julie and I met some friends at La Bel Vie. It is a French restaurant in Minneapolis.

I have know Monica since we were in college together. I sold her and her husband Joel their house.

Joel, Doug and I went skiing this winter ion Breckenridge, Colorado. Joel had trouble with the thin air at 7,000 feet above sea level. This is what happens when you smoke cigarettes.

This is Doug with his new girlfriend Lisa. Lisa is an over-educated liberal. She asked me all kinds of questions about food, wine and gambling in Vegas, but when it came to everything else, Lisa thinks she's very smart. Lisa thinks that all black people are unhappy because of racism. Lisa thinks that we should help everyone, even people too lazy to finish high school. Lisa doesn't think that 2+2=4. (Yes, she actually said this). Lisa is so open minded that her brains have fallen out. Too much time in college does this to some people. Lisa is majoring in film Noir, she will never have a real job and will never contribute anything of value to this world.

After dinner we went downtown and had cigars by the fire pit at Chambers hotel. This is one of my favorite places to have a smoke after dinner. Too bad Doug brought Lisa along.
